Don’t Be A PayPal Email Scam Victim

Attention PayPal Users: Please do not become a victim of email scams.

In the past 3 months or so I have received about five emails that appear to be from PayPal.com. At first glance, my heart always drops when I read things like “Your account has been limited” or “Your PayPal account has been violated!” but being a PayPal user for about 3 years now I tend to catch little things in the email immediately that don’t seem to be right.

Being a freelance web designer and working with clients around the world, I depend greatly on the PayPal service. The last thing I need, or I would want for anybody else is to have their bank accounts hacked into.

Take a look at one of the latest PayPal scam emails I have received from. I have noted few easy ways to spot if the email is legit or not.

Chat Creative – A Design Community Chat Panel

postimg_chatcreative This past week I have had the opportunity to sit in on a couple chat sessions with Kyle Steed (@kylesteed), the man behind the brand new Chat Creative Design Panel. Its been a real pleasure getting to know him and seeing his insight into his new project.

Chat Creative is a live video chat session with a design panel of respected creatives within the industry. The goal of Chat Creative is to help connect the creative community one chat at a time.The very first panel will be held this Wednesday, July 8 (Seven Eight Nine) at 6 pm (CST). (more…)
